I must admit it has started to annoy me slightly. This is often by very good photographers who should know better. I think it's because the MPE-65 is such an unusual lens that they feel this is acceptable. I'm sure they would be offended if I commented on their bird images with something along the lines of 'that 500mm prime gets you some great shots'!

Matt ColeMatt Colehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03451598566179709030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997165993262560791.post-12935011225890857442008-05-31T06:37:00.000-07:002008-05-31T06:37:00.000-07:00SPAAAAAM, wonderful SPAAAAAAAMmmm, lovely, just wh...SPAAAAAM, wonderful SPAAAAAAAM

mmm, lovely, just what we needed...Spookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03193449440917348995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997165993262560791.post-62600032254918702462008-05-29T05:44:00.000-07:002008-05-29T05:44:00.000-07:00I saw the MPE-65 "live" today - Mounted on a 1Ds m...I saw the MPE-65 "live" today - Mounted on a 1Ds mk III. Well, it is without doubt a fantastic lens. But damned hard to manage - and I've been shooting macros for quite a while now (but with a standard 150mm macro lens)!squinzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01374153691944776468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997165993262560791.post-33000518025702250582008-05-29T01:38:00.000-07:002008-05-29T01:38:00.000-07:00@ Spook: Just payin' my dues -lots of people helpe...@ Spook: Just payin' my dues -lots of people helped, and are still helping, me...

A friend of mine tried to shoot macro after seeing my gallery -he went back to portrait work... :)Dalantechhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17491343159917303555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997165993262560791.post-29165108404861515532008-05-29T00:19:00.000-07:002008-05-29T00:19:00.000-07:00Dalantech = Macro Yoda. Many of them has gone on to buy DSLRs of their own, only to find out that the camera can't do anything by itself and that taking great images takes a hell of a lot more than just a good camera.

Btw - This is Spook writing from his new account :)Spookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03193449440917348995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997165993262560791.post-86713213976621041492008-05-29T00:18:00.000-07:002008-05-29T00:18:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Spookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03193449440917348995noreply@blogger.com
