You really should consider making a set of diffusers for the MT-24EX macro twin light from the same plastic that you use in the Puffer diffuser -I hot glued a couple of them to my flash heads and that's the lighting that I used for the image attached to this post. A three times life size shot with an MPE-65mm macro lens and a diffused MT-24EX that looks like I shot it using natural light...

i agree.Having a set made for the MT-24EX would be great.:)
Too bad Gary doesn't return my email...
dalantech, I love your blog "No Cropping Zone". Really well done. Glad to see you prodding Gary Fong for the Puffer adaptation to the MT-24EX.
Thanks b.d. bop :)
I don't think that Gary knows I exist. I tried contacting him several times but no joy. I think he's missing an opportunity here...
Hi,John,
Rather ridiculous Fong won't answer your emails. He certainly is missing an opportunity. I've seen what you've done with adapting his Puffer diffuser and would gladly buy a set made for the MX-24EX. At this point, I'm so disgusted with his rudeness to you, I have no interest in any of his products.
I recently purchased the MT-24EX and Sto-fen's Omini-Bounce 24x set. Any suggestions or comments about improving the diffusion of the Omni-Bounce set would be greatly appreciated. :~)
Hey Fred,
You can do what I recently did: Take your Sto-Fen diffusers and hot glue a set of Puffer diffusers over them. That's what I used for this shot:

That fly has a very reflective body and yet the highlights aren't blown...
Thanks, John, for the tip about the Fong Puffer diffusers. I suppose I can forgive Fong just this one time for being rude to you and not acknowledging your emails. :~)
Super light in the fly shot link.
Thanks Fred :)
I think Gary is enjoying his retirement :)
